Experienced horse people - Give me your opinion on this mare to buy.?
I have been looking at this little mare as a dressage prospect for myself. It will be a very long trip (I want to go tomorrow) I will have to leave at 6am and home at 9pm'ish.
I was hoping for some opinions from other experienced people. She only has basic education and I think I can get their asking price down to $3000 or $3500 as they are moving. The ad is as follows.

The guy on her is too big and sawing on her mouth, which I think she tolerates well and does not seem to fight him.
I am concerned about her neck, it is very thick and short. In the ridden I don't know how much is his poor riding or her.

I'm 5'2, experienced (33 years) but careful these days (I have spinal injuries). They tell me she is quiet, no buck after a spell.
Adult riding is a club for adults, next step from pony club in Australia. They would have used it for basic education around other horses.
I would be educating her at home and under my instructor.
EXTRA HORSE - I am going to stop and look at this little horse on my way to the other one. She is probably more suited to what I'm looking for. What do you think?

15hh - 3yo filly, TB (not raced but prepared) $3000. Nice movement (according to them).
